Forced-open microswitches – safety through defined separation Forced-open microswitches are specially developed switches for safety-critical applications that require reliable and mechanically enforced separation of the contacts – even in the event of contact jamming or welding. These switches guarantee that the circuit is physically separated as soon as the actuating mechanism is triggered. They are used wherever safety functions must be guaranteed in a standard-compliant and traceable manner – e.g., in machines, elevators, emergency stop circuits, or safety-related control systems in accordance with EN ISO 13849 or IEC 60947-5-1.

Double-break microswitches are specially designed switches that simultaneously disconnect or connect two independent circuits when actuated.
